I would like to start off by saying Life's Journey Center saved my life but honestly Life's Journey gave me my life. I have never meet anyone who cared as much as Dr. Rose does. I came to LJC (Life's Journey Center) with no coping skills and no boundaries. I couldn’t function as a productive member of society. I was so sick emotionally and spiritually. I had no contact with my Higher Power and was completely hopeless. I'm already crying because I am forever grateful for the process that Dr. Rose allows each individual to blossom with. I never understood the feeling of gratitude before I meet Dr. Rose and I am so blessed to tell you that today I have overwhelming waves of gratitude and love in my heart. I was in treatment for 90 days and major family holiday like Thanksgiving and Christmas. I remember asking Dr. Rose if she would get some extra groceries for me so I could make somethings I enjoyed making as a child. My story of using started at a young age so for me, in very early recovery, I found joy in doing things I remembered from my childhood. It was my 1st attempt to get some kind of normalcy into my life after so many years of insanity. Of course she didn't even think twice about this and allowed me to prepare whatever I wanted. Everything she does comes from a place of love and I try so hard to emulate that everyday by practicing tolerance and compassion in my life. Dr. Rose cares so much that she actually stays on the property to make her self available 24/7 to her clients. She was even there on the nights of major holidays. I mean have you ever heard of such a thing? I still call her every month or so to check in with her and update her on my life, troubles I'm having with life on life's terms and of course the blessings I have been receiving. Dr. Rose never rushes me off the phone, she's never too busy for me and she does these phone calls for free because she actually cares about my progress. Dr. Rose has been an angel in my life. She really has been the biggest blessing I've received and she is always on the top of my gratitude list. She loved me before I knew how to love myself. I would recommend this place to anyone who actually has even a little willingness to change their lives. All it takes is a bit of courage, some trust and a little sprinkle of Dr. Rose. I am a functioning member of society. I can hold a job. My coworkers like me. My family is actively back in my life. My family invites me to their homes. I belong to a beautiful fellowship. I am of service. I have loving and caring people in my life. I have a Higher Power. I can show up and be present for people. I'm clean! Thank you to all the staff and Life's Journey Center. I was a resident at Life's Journey Center during 3/2008-6/2008. This place and the staff saved my life! I was a stone cold hopeless before and when I arrived at Life's Journey Center. I had no idea how to live life. I had a shaky up bringing and had no concept of rules. Dr. Rose was at the facility on a daily basis and conducted the intimate group therapy sessions. She is an extremely wise and patient woman. She saw me and read right through my b.s. She worked with me and others on an individual basis. Yes the the rules always change, there's a reason for that. It's a rehabilitating center that house roughly 14 - 20 people who need help and don't know how to live. Life always had curve balls. Anyways, it's 11/2013. We have 5 years and 8 months clean. I arrived at LJC when I just turned 24 sick of life wanting to die! Nothing to live fit except my next fix! Today I'm 29, and have an amazing life! BEYOND MY WILDEST DREAMS! I have my own business, I'm a homeowner, I'm a father of a 2 year old boy. A soon to be husband with a woman I adore and cherish she is my best friend. I'm a productive member to society. Most of all more important than asrk that material and exterior stuff, I have God and myself today. I was a lost soul. Today I know who I am. Life's Journey Center began the life changing process. They told me to go to meeting when I left the center and that's what I did and still do today. I miss Life's Journey Center and wish I could stop and visit. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about the center and the beautiful Southern California weather. I really do miss it there so do much. I'm in Philadelphia freezing my butt off! I highly recommend to go here or bring your loved one here.
